Hermantown Police officer arrested a man Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to shoot people inside a car.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of Lavaque Road for a call regarding a person with a gun who had broken a window on a vehicle and threatened to shoot the people inside.

The suspect, who is currently on probation, also allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend’s dogs.

After officers met with the reporting party and other witnesses they learned of an apparent pattern of unreported threatening behavior and domestic abuse.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the St. Louis County Jail.

According to the police, there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The suspect is being held on probable cause for the charges of terroristic threats, gross misdemeanor domestic abuse, 4th degree damage to property, and two counts of 2nd degree assault.
