Are you struggling to figure out apps on your new phone?  Been considering opening a Facebook account but need assistance?  Laptop running slow?

These are just a few of the things that Boreal Community Media technology interns would love to help you with!  Twice a week, free walk-in community tech support is available at The Hub in downtown Grand Marais.  Yes, free.  Some things in life are still free!

Boreal intern Wyatt Clay is available from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. every Monday over the summer to assist.  Wyatt is our newest intern and his hobbies include biking, playing video games, roller blading, ice skating, hiking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and playing basketball.  With technology,  Wyatt likes that there are so many things you can do.

"I like the challenge of figuring out what is going wrong and how to fix the problem", said Wyatt.  He previously attended three different technology camps and enjoyed everything he learned from them.  One local community member that Wyatt helped last Monday remarked "how sharp" Wyatt was when helping her with her cell phone issue.  She also said "These kids are amazing with technology!"

Tristan Surbaugh provides support on Thursday afternoons from 12:30-4:00 p.m. at The Hub.  Tristan has been providing excellent tech support for Boreal for several years now.  He has also been an assistant to the summer tech camp instructors.  When Tristan is not working, he enjoys walking his dog, going for runs, or working with computers, including building his own computer system.  He is also a fan of playing video games on his computer.

Boreal Community Media is grateful to partner with The Hub for these tech events.  To learn more about other events happening at The Hub, follow this
