Body found near Mille Lacs Lake believed to be man missing from Garrison

Law enforcement officials from the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office and the Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department recovered a body that they believe to be a man reported missing from Garrison since April, according to news releases from both agencies.

Volunteers and multiple law enforcement agencies conducted a search in the days after he was reported missing.
Officers from the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office and the Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department both said they responded to a 911 call on Saturday from a property owner on Lake Mille Lacs reporting a body near Wig Wam Bay.
The identity has not yet been confirmed by the Medical Examiner’s office.
