In addition to the severe thunderstorm threat Wednesday and Thursday, warmer temperatures are also expected. Highs will be warmest over southern portions of the Northland. In addition to the warmth Thursday will be much higher humidity. Off lake winds will keep lakeside areas cooler.

Periods of severe storms (large hail, damaging wind, and heavy rain) are expected Wednesday evening into Thursday night. Isolated tornadoes are possible Thursday afternoon/evening. Severe storms possible this evening but coverage and intensity of storms are expected to be strongest Thursday evening. Heavy rainfall threat tonight.

Away from Lake Superior, temperatures will be on the rise with high temperatures touching the low 80s for some areas by late week. Near Lake Superior, temperatures will only get into the upper 50s and lower 60s most of the week.
