A Duluth Police K9 officer helped arrest a man who was spotted on the roof of a Duluth liquor store early Wednesday morning. Police responded to 27 Liquor near 27th Ave. W. and W. Michigan St. around 3:10 a.m.

When they got there, officials spotted a man on the roof. More officers responded and surrounded the building.

A short time later, they saw the 27-year-old was inside the building.

Police say the suspect wouldn’t comply with their commands, so they sent in K9 Vili to apprehend him.

The man was taken to the St. Louis County Jail, where he is expected to be charged with several counts including burglary and criminal damage to property.
