Happy New Year, Families!

As the pictures below show, the year is beginning in a joyous way at GES!  This is just a snippet of what has taken place in classrooms this week.  Hopefully your child has details and stories to fill you in on the picture of their class.

A note from Director Rachael

Safe Learning Plan Update
You are probably aware that the CDC has changed their Covid-19 guidance on December 27.  Minnesota Department of Health is expected to release their updated guidance next week.
Once we receive Minnesota Department of Health guidance, we will work on revisions to our Safe Learning Plan (Stepping Back Safely) with input from Cook County Public Health.  You will be updated when changes are made.
We appreciate your willingness to work together in keeping our school and community healthy.
Thank you!

Public Health Update

With the increase in Covid activity in our community, the clinic's testing schedule is backed up until the middle of next week.  If your child is symptomatic, we do have rapid Covid tests available at school to pick up.  Please call school, or email if you would like one.

Great Lunch

The smells of fresh baked muffins and warm oatmeal fill the great room each winter morning and are eagerly consumed at snack time!  Perhaps you have noticed additional menu changes this month?  Encourage your child to try a few new items.  They may decide they have some new favorites!  We are thankful for the care that Laura and Lily put into planning and preparing meals to ensure both nutrition and taste!
As always, please call the office if you have any questions on school-related items.  We are happy to assist you!
