A man is behind bars after police say he robbed at least two businesses in Superior and tased a customer during one of the incidents.

It happened Wednesday night just before 5:45 at a business in the area of North 28th Street and Tower Avenue.

Police say the suspect robbed the store and a 68-year-old woman after shocking her with an "electric weapon device".

She was shaken, but did not require medical attention, police added.

Police were able to identify the vehicle driven by the suspect thanks to security camera recordings. They discovered he had shoplifted from another business prior to the robbery.

He was eventually taken into custody by Minnesota law enforcement in Duluth following a pursuit.

Police say they later learned the suspect allegedly committed at least one additional robbery in Minnesota following the incidents in Superior.
