On Tuesday, Duluth’s Enger Tower was lit blue to raise awareness about colon cancer.

With the pandemic delaying some routine hospital visits, many could be missing regular checkups that could spot cancers like this early.

While routine tests for colon cancer start at 45, one Duluth survivor says it's never too early to check.

"Enger Tower will be lit blue and that is to raise awareness of colorectal cancer screenings and support for patients and there are also about 170 other landmarks across the United States,” said colon cancer survivor Anna Dahlgren.

Common symptoms to be on the look for include unusual bowl habits or blood in your stool.

Anna is glad to see several locations lit in blue to help spread awareness.
