A Brule, Wisconsin teenager is racing in the Junior Iditarod which began in Alaska Saturday morning.

Fourtenn-year-old Morgan Martens is mushing a team of Ryan Redington's dogs in the 144 mile sled dog race. Martens says he feels “super lucky” to be learning from Redington and that he felt privileged to be chosen to run his dog team.  

“This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I am very grateful to Ryan,” said Martens

The race should conclude at some point on Sunday, February 28th.
