Activities that will be held the week of August 19 – August 26 at Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center

What makes the Gunflint unique?

This week come earn your “Nature Badge”
 
Sunday, August 19 – Teresa Marrone presentation; 2 – 3 pm at Chik-Wauk Nature Center. Teresa will help to identify invasive plants in our area. 

Tuesday, August 21 – USFS 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Northwoods talk. 


Thursday, August 23 – History of the Gunflint Trail presentation will be held at the Higher Education Building in Grand Marais from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Join Barb Bottger/Sue Kerfoot & Cheryl Dailey talk about the forgotten resorts of the Gunflint Trail. 

Sunday, August 26 – Dr. Seth Moore presentation; 2 – 3 pm at Chik-Wauk Nature Center. Dr. Moore will talk about Moose.
 
All special presentations are family friendly 
Museum is open from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Nature Center is open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Admission charge $4/adult, $2/children 5 – 18 under 5 are free.
Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located off the Gunflint Trail (Hwy12) turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (Cty Rd 81).
