Media release from the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation - July 25, 2018

DULUTH—The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation is seeking nominations for its new Generosity Award, created to recognize an individual, couple or family reflecting the organization’s vision of fostering generosity in the Northland.

“There are many generous individuals in our region, and we want to recognize and celebrate their commitments to philanthropy,” said Community Foundation President Holly C. Sampson. “Generosity takes many forms. Nominees may be particularly outstanding in contributing time, talent and treasure. They also may have done outstanding work in inspiring others through fundraising efforts. We’re eager to learn of outstanding examples of generosity in our community.”

The winner will be recognized at the Community Foundation’s annual Touchstone Award luncheon Oct. 15 at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

Nominees must reside or spend a substantial portion of the year in the service area of the Community Foundation. This includes the Minnesota counties of Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis, and the Wisconsin counties of Ashland, Bayfield, and Douglas. Nominations are being accepted through the Community Foundation’s website, dsacommunityfoundation.com, and will be accepted through Aug. 7
