The Minnesota Department of Health issued advisory alerts for two North Shore beaches Tuesday after elevated E.coli bacteria levels identified from samples collected Monday indicate the possible presence of fecal contamination.
Water contact is not recommended at Agate Bay Beach in Two Harbors or at Twin Points Public Access Beach north of Gooseberry Falls State Park near Two Harbors.
The beaches are scheduled to be resampled Thursday.
