The week ahead at Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center.

Activities that will be held the week of June 17 – June 24 at Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center.  This week will highlight “Nature’s Music”.

 Sunday, June 17 —Chel Anderson will be at Chik-Wauk Nature Center for a special presentation from 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm. 

Chel Anderson is a botanist and plant ecologist who has lived and worked on the North Shore since 1974. You probably know her as the Northwoods Naturalist on WTIP and as the author of the new environmental history, "North Shore." 

Tuesday, June 19 – Start of our Kids’ Day programs; all children ages 18 and under have free admission to the Museum. Kids’ Day runs every Tuesday starting on June 19 through August 14. 

Tuesday, June 19 – USFS 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Northwoods talk. Every Tuesday from June 19 – August 21. 

Saturday, June 23 – The International Wolf Center will be doing a presentation from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm “Wolves at our Door”. 

Sunday, June 24 – Join Kate Kelnberger at Chik-Wauk Nature Center for her presentation on “Neighbors helping Neighbors” from 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm. 

 All special presentations are family friendly and free to the public. 

 Museum open from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Nature Center open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Admission charge $4/adult, $2/children 5 – 18 under 5 are free.

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located on the Gunflint Trail (Hwy12) turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (Cty Rd 81).
