Partly sunny, chance of afternoon thunderstorms

Partly to mostly sunny skies this morning will make way for chances of showers and thunderstorms along the International Border region as a weak trough of low pressure moves into the region. Storms aren’t expected to be widespread, and the chances of any strong storms is very low.

Elsewhere, skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Then, increasing clouds overnight with spotty showers and storms possible Saturday. Again, no severe weather is expected.

Sunday looks drier, with partly sunny skies. Total rainfall amounts through Saturday night could range between a tenth of an inch up to a half inch in some isolated spots along and north of the Iron Range.
