Northland Area Prom Dress Giveaway Touches Colorado Bridal Shop

For the Third Year, If the Dress Fits will invite High School Students throughout the region to its annual Prom Dress Giveaway. The event will be held Sunday March 18th from 5-7pm and Monday March 19th from 4-6pm at Bella Rose Bridal located at 1709 Mall Drive, Duluth.

Founders Ashleigh, and her Mom, Amy Arntson have helped to make more than 100 dreams come true for young women who may not otherwise be able to attend their high school formal. All by asking for donated dresses, repairing and cleaning them as needed and yes...giving them away.

Via the If The Dress Fits Instagram site, word of their success reached Soignee Elegant Attire in Colorado. Store owner Patricia reached out to Ashleigh. “I was stunned and deeply humbled, they never met us and located over 1,000 miles away! They wanted to know what we needed most, and they sent us 16 brand new, high-end dresses!”

Over the past year more than 150 current styled formal gowns have been donated, and many have been brand new. Sizes range from 0 - 22 and there are styles for every taste. High School students need to bring a current school ID.

If the Dress Fits is a Duluth-based non-profit organization which provides an outlet for northland community members to donate new or used current styled prom dresses. Teens who otherwise couldn’t afford a dress are invited to the event and take home a dress for free.
