Jan 20, 2018 04:14PM ● By Editor

Approximately 185 women, men, children, and four-legged friends gathered at Harbor Park in Grand Marais on Saturday, January 20th to sing, march, share stories, and to raise awareness of the systems that threaten women’s equality, health, and human rights.  This event was organized by Arrowhead Indivisible.

Nikki Boostrom was in the crowd and stated "I'm here to support that all people should be treated equally".  She said that she supports anyone who has ever been sexually abused, as she herself is a a survivor.  She hopes that the violence directed towards women will end.  Nikki commented that it's good to know that others are out there, and that's why she was there to participate in the march.

Guest speakers included Grand Marais Mayor,
Jay Arrowsmith-DeCoux, Berta Bauer, Denny Fitzpatrick, and Jodi Yuhasey.
